On March 29, 2018, Swedish investor Altor signed agreements to acquire Trioplast Industrier AB ("Trioplast") from Bo Larsson. Trioplast was founded in 1965 by Vilhelm Larsson in Smålandsstenar. Since 1984, the company has been owned by his son Bo Larsson (72), who has developed the company as a supplier of sustainable PE film products. Trioplast has an annual turnover of approx. 450 million euros and employs around 1,000 people. The company is headquartered in Smålandsstenar. Further production sites are located in Sweden, Denmark and France. The products are sold worldwide. The acquisition is subject to the usual regulatory requirements and approvals. Altor and key management team executives will own hundred percent of the shares once the transaction is completed.
