Vacancy – Technical Development Manager, Perrite Europe – Based Manchester, UK Package – Market leading salary and benefits to attract the best, financial support for any relocation The Perrite Group is a specialist thermoplastics compounder with plants in Manchester (UK), Lyon (France) and Johor Bahru (Malaysia). The UK and French plants sit within the Perrite Europe group which is headquartered in the UK and is the 19th largest independent compounder in Europe. The group supplies a wide range of bespoke engineering thermoplastic compounds to major OEM’s and moulders in over 35 countries. In recent years the Perrite Group has seen significant investment in capacity and R&D. In addition the commercial, technical and local leadership teams have been strengthened and increased in size. This investment in both people and equipment has enabled Perrite not only to weather recent economic problems but to grow and generate strong returns since 2007. The next stage of the group’s strategy is to further develop new and unique product offers, extend its reach into new markets and geographies, strengthen relationships with OEM’s and leverage its global capabilities. For Perrite Europe this strategy, and an impending retirement, has presented an opportunity to recruit a high quality Technical Development Manager. You will already be a Technical Manager with at least 10 years experience within the European thermoplastics market place and at least 5 years specific experience developing new grades of engineering thermoplastic compounds. Even more importantly you will have the skills and gravitas to lead technical development within the European group and ensure that Perrite Europe maintains its prominent technical position within the market place. The role will be based in Manchester, UK although there will be travel to customers around Europe and significant contact with both Perrite, France and Perrite, Malaysia. The flexibility to relocate to the UK is a prerequisite, as is excellent English. An additional European language such as French or German would be a distinct advantage.
