Christine Bernd · HR Manager ADM Mainz GmbH · Dammweg 2 · D-55130 Mainz www.adm.com For our European operations we are looking for a Technical Service/Application Development Representative Europe - Telles ™ based in Europoort, Koog aan de Zaan, Netherlands Job Responsibilities • Direct customer support: Works closely with Telles™ business development representatives to provide technical support to key customers. · Provide product and process recommendations to customers. · Investigate and resolve product and process issues at customers. · Participate in process trials at customer sites. · Generate and provide application specific data. · Translate customer needs into material properties. • Communication: Works as part of global technology team to translate learning from Europe to US to create best practices in R&D group. • Development Support: Works with organization to understand technical aspects of new product and application development and leads effort to successfully launch new products. • Polymer Processing Expertise: Leads the development of injection molding, extrusion and secondary process technology competencies and communicates learning through development of technical literature and supporting documentation. • Supports commercialization of new product lines by overseeing and trouble shooting customer trials and communicating key findings to R&D team. Qualifications • Education: Qualified candidates must have a minimum of B.S. degree in polymer science or related field. • Experience: Qualified candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in processing of plastics and application development with experience in bioplastics preferable. • Travel: Expected travel is more than 50%. Skills and Capabilities • In-depth knowledge and experience in polymer processing. • Industry knowledge of performance attributes of a wide range of polymers, manufacturing processes, and secondary processes. • Proven experience in application development. • Able to diagnose quality and process problems and implement solutions. • Demonstrated ability to create and give presentations. • Able to communicate well, both orally and written in English - multilingual candidates preferred. • Able to manage projects for customers through teamwork with commercial, sales and R&D team. • Able to work effectively in global matrix organization. • Able to read and generate CAD drawings. • Able to design process tooling. • Proficient in Moldflow™ analysis and able to communicate results to customer.
