Price quotations for plastics on the
London Metal Exchange (LME)
The London Metal Exchange (LME) provides a total of
eight futures for the plastics polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE-LLD). One global and three regional contracts for
Europe, Asia and North America. For basic explanations on the LME and futures trading as well as additional information on materials specifications, details of price formation etc. please refer to the FAQ of the LME.

1Officially, LME prices are exclusively quoted in US-$. Currency conversion is based on the Euro foreign
exchange reference rate, as published by the European Central Bank on 21.04.2011:
1 € = 1.4584 $. (The Euro foreign exchange reference rates are set on the basis of a daily concertation
procedure between the central banks, which takes place at 2.15 pm).
