Nabaltec AG, a supplier of eco-friendly fillers and additives as well as raw materials for technical ceramics for a large number of applications in a variety of industries, achieved a record result in the first quarter of 2011. Revenues climbed from EUR 24.4 million to EUR 35.3 million, which represents a 44.7% increase on the same period of the previous year and a 14.2% improvement on the previous record of Q4 2010. Earnings increased at a disproportionate rate, with earnings before interest and taxes rising from EUR 0.9 million to EUR 3.9 million. The EBIT margin (based on total output) climbed to 11.0%, while EBITDA more than doubled from EUR 2.8 million to EUR 5.9 million. The consolidated result improved from EUR -0.3 million to a net profit of EUR 1.6 million. The dynamic growth of Nabaltec was felt across all product segments and regions. The “Functional Fillers” Business Division reported a 45.2% increase in revenues, while the “Technical Ceramics” Business Division achieved only slightly lower revenue growth of 43.6%. The conditions for continued growth remain stable and intact. Incoming orders stay at a high level and once again exceeded revenues in the first quarter. The current order backlog gives the company great planning certainty for the full year 2011. Nabaltec has confirmed its projections for 2011 and expects revenues to grow by a low double-digit percentage. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) 2011 are projected to increase at a higher rate than revenues. More information: nabaltec.de |
