Widening horizons
As part of ECEBD´s efforts to connect East and West at K-2010, those who subscribe to ECEBD´s ChemIT Easy offline plastics industry database until the last day of the K-2010 fair from today on will receive a version updated with the latest 2010 data, for the price of the basic version, which only includes 2008 data.

The ChemIT database – the full version of which also involves online access and constant updates – contains key company data and detailed production figures of almost 10,000 plastics converters in CEE, Russia/CIS and Turkey, accounting for almost 90% of resin consumption in the region.

Finding the right match
Since the start of this year, ECEBD is also offering consulting and support services for plastics industry merger and acquisition projects. Companies seeking to acquire or sell compounders or plastics processors in the CEE region are encouraged to visit ECEBD at K-2010, where they can learn more about the company´s M&A "match-making" service.

Industry forecasts point to an increasing concentration of working capital in the CEE plastics industry in the medium term, as recession-hit local firms and up-and-coming players seek outside investors in ever-larger numbers.
