Dreyplas: New player for raw materials distribution

The new distributor Dreyplas started market activities in November 2011 and has now launched its website www.dreyplas.com - (Image: Dreyplas).

Dreyplas GmbH is a new but experienced player among the pan-European distributors. The company’s diversified portfolio comprises raw materials, additives and processing aids for plastics converters and compounders as well as for the producers of adhesives, paints and coatings, chemicals and building materials. The majority of its products are sourced from major and prominent manufacturers located in the Far East, often backed up by long-term supply agreements. Beyond the German speaking countries, the new distributor´s activities focus on Poland (through its local affiliate Plaskobel SP.ZO.O in Lodz) and – supported by its own network of local sales representatives – the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Customers in other European countries are served from its Meerbusch headquarters or through local partners, depending on the specific product.

The Dreyplas product portfolio for plastics processors includes commodities and engineering polymers (e.g. polycarbonate from Samyang, Korea), as well as polymer blends, thermoplastic elastomers (including TPE-E from Samyang), fluoropolymers, fluoroelastomers, and purging compounds. In Poland, Dreyplas is authorised distributor of Sabic polyolefines.

The company’s offering for polymer compounders includes PTFE micropowder (from Kitamura, Japan) for improved friction and wear properties, as well as chopped, milled and heat-conductive carbon fibres (from Nippon Polymer Sangyo, Japan) to improve mechanical, electrical and/or thermal properties. Further products are polymer powders, based e.g. on ABS or polycarbonate, and modifiers to improve the impact resistance of materials or the overall properties of recyclates.

The Dreyplas portfolio for the adhesives industry ranges from raw materials for hot-melt adhesives, PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesives), adhesive tapes and labels, products for the book binding industry and for sanitary products to materials for road construction and the automotive industry. These include tackifiers (e. g. C5 und C9 as well as hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins) and thermoplastic elastomers (SIS, SBS, SEBS, SEPS).

With fine powders based on the fluoropolymers polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), DREYPLAS opens versatile possibilities for producers of paints and coatings to optimise their products’ anti-corrosion, anti-scratch, non-stick and repellant properties.

To the chemical industry access is provided to a range of highly efficient additives such as alcohols (penta 98, neopentyl glycol NPG, etc.).

Dreyplas products for the manufacture of bitumen, e. g. for road construction or waterproofing of roofs, include thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) such as SBS (radial & linear), SIS and SEBS.
