Wittmann Battenfeld Germany: Andreas Schramm to become sole Managing Director

The Wittmann Group is reorganising its management in Germany. Wittmann Battenfeld Deutschland GmbH, with its two locations in Nuremberg and Meinerzhagen, will from now on be managed by Andreas Schramm as sole Managing Director.

As the machine manufacturer further announces, Michael Tolz, previously also Managing Director of Wittmann Battenfeld Germany and primarily responsible for the Automation and Peripherals divisions based in Nuremberg, is leaving the group of companies by mutual agreement. Michael Tolz joined the company in 2011 as Operations Manager at the Nuremberg site and was instrumental in the excellent development of the Automation and Peripherals divisions.

Andreas Schramm, Managing Director of Wittmann Battenfeld Germany together with Michael Tolz since 2019 and primarily responsible for injection moulding machines at the Meinerzhagen site, will take over Michael Tolz's responsibilities at the beginning of 2024.

The new structure in Germany is Wittmann's response to the declining demand for injection moulding machines, systems and technologies. The entire industry has been affected, with the slump in Germany being particularly severe. A recovery is currently not foreseeable.
