Job Title: Sales Account Manager Austria Switzerland Working Hours: Full time (Home Office based in Austria) Department: Sales Reports to: Sales Manager DACH South Position Summary: As a Sales Account Manager for Nexeo Plastics team, you will be managing sales in the areas of Austria and Switzerland into existing customers and targeting new prospects for the plastics business. In addition, you will develop and manage a sales plan that provides growth consistent with strategic goals. Being sales and performance driven with dedication to achieving team goals will be critical to success of our overall business. Primary Responsibilities: Manages sales (for engineering thermoplastics and commodity materials) in the territory to reach sales, gross profit, broaden customer base and meet strategic product goals. Plans weekly sales itinerary to realize overall sales strategy. Services existing accounts. Responsible for coordinating division’s sale and delivery of products in a fashion that meets the customer needs. This involves extensive interaction with the customer, Sales Management, CSRs, Product Line Management and Finance. Resolves any problems that occur before, during, or after the sale (i.e., credit, supply or service issues). Identifies leads for new accounts. Working together with the Sales Management on sales strategies. Identifies and monitors competitive situations. These include pricing, payment terms, shipment terms, and types of materials handled by competitors. Communicates competitive situations to relevant parties within NEXEO PLASTICS. Fulfills responsible care sales activities safely. Accountabilities, which include personal and vehicular safety and product stewardship. Develops and maintains professional presence in the territory. This includes expanding product knowledge through training materials or supplier seminars, enhancing account management skills through training, and attendance and participation in local professional organization. Gathers information and maintains accurate records. This includes information regarding customer sales by volume and types of material, prospective customers and their material needs, customer call reports and competitors in the territory. Fully utilizes the CRM Salesforce.com. Use of SAP connected programs to analyze sales figures in own district. Perform other duties as assigned. Primary Requirements: Extended experience in Plastics Industry, Distribution Sales or related industry. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the ability to work and manage independently. Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships. Self-motivation, enthusiastic, time management skills and responsiveness. Native German and fluent English skills. French, Italian or Swiss German are from advantage but not a must. Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required; experience with a CRM like Salesforce.com is a plus.
