Trends & Technical Developments
AMI is pleased to announce the 5th edition of the Grass Yarn & Tufters Forum. This unique business conference and exhibition will provide a global forum to discuss the current state of the artificial grass market, look at the potential growth prospects and drivers and examine recent product and technological developments.
The industry saw high growth rates approaching a global average of 20% 2004-2008 and despite a difficult investment environment, continues to be a sensible place for politicians, educational and sports authorities to commit funding.
The artificial grass is a dynamic industry with good growth prospects for the future, but with some difficult challenges, and some prospects of consolidation. The Grass Yarn & Tufters Forum 2011 will give delegates the opportunity to discuss the issues facing the industry and gain understanding of the opportunities and threats facing the business.
Yet again, AMI has gathered a panel of expert speakers including FIFA, Advanced Polymer Technology Australasia, Terra Sports Technology, Dow Chemical Iberica, Fukuoka University, NV Michel van de Wiele, Bonar Yarns & Tencate Grass who will share their latest developments and views of the industry.
The programme will also cover the latest in material, backing, coating and shock pads with presentations from the Dow Chemical Company, EOC Belgium, Sekisui Alveo, Recticel N.V. and Mattex Group.
Maintenance will be reviewed by Technical Surfaces, testing houses Isa Sport and Labosport international will present their latest developments and there will a session about market perspectives including papers from AMI Consulting, The Synthetic Turf Council and Sportlink International.
The conference, sponsored by Dow and supported by SAPCA, is now recognized as the key place to be for the industry to meet every year and usually attracts over 160 participants.
