Holzmühle Westerkamp produces technical wood flours, wood fibers and wood granulates from mainly sawmill by-products. Many well-known WPC manufacturers are convinced of the quality of our products and are among our customers. Our products are of course PEFC-certified and are subject to strict quality controls. For 5 years, the company has been developing its own natural fiber-filled biocompounds, which are marketed under the arweco brand. Two product lines have been developed: Lignura® and Otura®. Lignura® contains domestic wood fibers from PEFC-certified forestry, while Otura® uses fibers from the residual material grain husks. We offer our compounds with different biopolymer matrices and fiber contents. Our products are to a large extent biobased and can be industrially or home composted, depending on requirements. We have many solutions on offer for you.
We source our raw materials regionally and process them in an energy and environmentally friendly way. Our sustainability is underlined by the inclusion of renewable energies in the process. Heat for drying is generated with a wood chip heating system, we have PV systems on the roofs to generate electricity and even the waste heat is fed back into the system via a heat recovery system. We are committed to continuous improvement in the area of energy and environmental management.
