MONOFIL-TECHNIK GmbH, which was founded in its current form in 1984, is an exclusive manufacturer of synthetic monofilaments. With a few exceptions, we are able to produce monofilaments from all thermoplastics known on the world market.

With state-of-the-art extrusion technology, as used today in our monofilament production, we have established ourselves as an absolute leader in versatility among global monofilament manufacturers.

Over the years, the product range has grown to well over 30 thermoplastics today. With a large number of patented special monofilaments, the company now also stands for one of the worlds oldest protected brand names, TROFIL®.


In 2003, MONOFIL-TECHNIK GmbH acquired the exclusive right to produce and distribute PA11 monofilaments made from RILSAN® for use in technical monofilaments, bristles, and chair covers.

Today, we can proudly and without exaggeration say that MONOFIL-TECHNIK GmbH is probably the worlds No. 1 monofilament manufacturer in terms of versatility, thanks to continuous investment in state-of-the-art monofilament filament lines with triple stretching.
