As the saying goes, "competition is the spice of life". This applies to all facets including the business world. Following the approval of other dual system operators in two federal states to date, the framework conditions for recycling plastics in Germany are changing significantly. Competition is now the name of the game. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kunststoff-Recycling mbH (DKR) is well prepared for this with know-how collected over a ten-year period and with increasingly leaner and more efficient processes. It is currently working towards further optimisation in cooperation with its partners. Representatives of the DKR and experts from the recycling branch will discuss questions arising from the changed situation at the Congress in Bad Neuenahr.
The topics
The plenum round of lectures which traditionally opens the Congress will start at 9am on Thursday, 24.6.2004, and will end with a podium discussion. Dr. Volker Gibs, DKR Managing Director, and Dr. Michael Heyde, DKR General Manager, will consider various aspects of the competitive situation. Dr. Gottfried Jung from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Environment and Forests, will present his views on the perspectives of product responsibility in competition. Gunda Rachut, Managing Partner of Cyclos GmbH, will focus on the question "The same obligation for all? Minimum requirements for verification management".
Six expert workshops will be held in the afternoon and the next morning.
