The EATC hosts their yearly automotive seminar on the subject of long fibre reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) which is mainly directed to automotive manufacturers and their suppliers.
The material GMT/LFT experiences, particularly in automotive engineering, large growth rates. This dynamic development will continue. The past and also the future growth is based on the excellent price/performance ratio of these GMT/LFT- materials and their low density. Therefore new potentials in the area of economic light weight design are opened.
The seminar offers an application-related overview of the current achievements and future trends. Optimised parts with the respective GMT/LFT- manufacturing process are presented. An outlook on further developments of components, systems and modules sets the great potentials of this material group in a constructive context with the requirements of the automobile industry.
