This focussed conference is looking at the increasing role that polymers play in large and small component replacement in these lucrative industries. Session topics on novel materials, processes, electronic applications, composites, nano-composites and coatins make this all encompassing event invaluable for all tiers of the high performance polymer supply chain.
This fast moving industry is often the first to incorporate material and process developments into final products which makes understanding the cutting edge research and developments imperative to stay competitive.
BAE Systems kicks of the conference with a paper looking at a variety of novel materials and processes that are being investigated through a UK wide partnership. Solvay Solexis will also present an interesting paper on day one of the conference looking at the use of fluoropolymers in aerospace and defence applications.
As one of the largest application areas within these industries - this conference dedicates 3 sessions to composites and nano composites. The first day concludes with four papers on composites, including an insight into their use in lighter armoured vehicles from QinetiQ.
Day two focusses on carbon nano fibre-based materials with presentations from industry and academia as well as four papers on inorganic nano-composites. the final session of the two days looks at the use of polymers in coatings in the aerospace and defence industry with papers from Indestructible Specialist Coatings and Nusil Technology.
