BMW DESIGNER TO SPEAK AT AMI’S MASTERBATCH CONFERENCE
AMI has yet again gathered a panel of expert speakers from across the industry for the 18th edition of the Masterbatch conference. The programme will include the latest developments in pigments and additives, in technology to improve productivity and flexibility and the latest market trends and developments.
The business forum should be of particular interest, as it includes presentations from BMW GROUP/MINI designer Ute Wellerhaus speaking about the automobile design perspective but also a paper on colour and material trends integrated in tool design by Fredrik Hermann of Designit as well as a presentation on compostable biopolymers, new options for the converting and masterbatch industry by Stefano Facco from Novamont.
“2010 was a year of recovery for the masterbatch industry, as the global economy rebounded from the effects of the financial crisis. How robust that recovery will be is still uncertain, particularly in many developed markets, and the prospects for 2011 remain challenging” says AMI Research Director, Andrew Reynolds, “Now more than ever is the time to come together to discuss and exchange views to make sure strategies are in place to take full advantage of the recovery ahead.”
AMI has been organising its regular Masterbatch conference since 1987, and the event typically attracts over 200 delegates from around the world including most leading masterbatch producers.
