AMI’s BOPP Film conferences regularly attract over 200 delegates from 30 countries. Delegate companies typically represent more than 50% of the world’s output of BOPP film (equal to over 2 million tonnes of PP resin purchase). With over 100 delegates already registered before the programme was even published, this event is expected to be the event for the global BOPP film industry in 2011.
This year’s presentations will look in detail at the raw material and technology developments that are affecting today’s global BOPP film industry with presentations from Ineos Olefins & Polymers, Exxonmobil Chemical, Reliance Industries Ltd., Ampacet Europe SA, Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG, The Japan Steel Works Ltd, Kampf Schneid und Wickeltechnik & Co. KG, Applied Materials, Isra Service Vision GmbH and Brückner Servtech GmbH.
Key papers will also cover how film producers can improve output and profitability. The business forum will include papers on the Russian Market (Biaxplen Ltd), finding and developing niche markets (Innovia Films), but also reflection about the film industry business model (Treofan Germany GmbH & Co KG).
The event will also present an overview of the market development for BOPP film drawing on AMI’s recent global study as well as a perspective from industry expert David Terhune of Insyte Services LLC about the next 10 years. Having enjoyed many years of strong growth the market for BOPP film is experiencing an increasingly challenging business environment, which will be a key subject discussed at the event.
