INEOS NOVA (www.ineos-nova.com) announced recently that the prices for all European Polystyrene products sold in November will be kept equal to the October Price. The Polystyrene price stability and the margin expansion is fully justified by company’s view of the Supply/Demand balance for Polystyrene. The company believes that the margin reduction in October was induced by the confusion created by mixed Styrene Monomer contract price settlements.
Some Polystyrene market segments may be weaker than others but October demand proved to be strong. INEOS NOVA is also taking into account the surge in oil price, the overall increasing price environment and the price of Polystyrene in other regions. INEOS NOVA strongly believes that Polystyrene will remain a competitive material while price firmly rolls over from October to November. INEOS NOVA will continue to act in order to ensure sustaining profitability of its Polystyrene business for the long term. |
