Polymer prices showed a predominantly upward trend in calendar week 38/2026. Price increases were particularly evident in polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), while styrenic polymers remained largely stable.
In the polyethylene segment, HDPE grades for blow molding, film and injection molding recorded increases ranging from 9 to 16 per tonne. LDPE experienced stronger gains, with film grades rising by 30/t to 1,306/t and general-purpose LDPE increasing by 31/t to the same level.
Polypropylene prices also moved higher. PP homopolymer grades for fiber and injection molding applications both increased by 29/t, while PP copolymer injection molding grades gained 14/t.
Among styrenic polymers, prices for GPPS, HIPS and EPS remained unchanged. ABS was the only grade in this group to record an increase, rising by 7/t to 1,842/t.
Overall, the market showed moderate price increases, led by LDPE and PP homopolymer grades. Recycled materials such as rLDPE film and rPP IM remained stable.
