Special-purpose machine / testing machine / 2-axis handling system

Testing machine from the fuel cell / plastic film sector, built in 2004.

This handling device was previously used for the electrical testing of fuel cell membranes using a pneumatic press.
This press is no longer available, so the machine can no longer be used for this purpose.

The handling device is ideally suited as a base for new applications in testing technology.

Special-purpose machine manufacturers can use the handling system as a cost-effective base for setting up an automated testing system, thereby securing cost advantages over competitors.

By retrofitting the handling system with a high-quality camera on site, it is possible to evaluate the test specimens and sort them into different quality levels.

Thus, with this handling device and a camera system, it is possible to perform a 100% automated inspection of sheets or films (printed or unprinted).

Equipment:

Base frame with sturdy aluminum profiles, movable on swivel and braked casters.
One longitudinal X-axis with stepper motor. Z-axis pneumatic.
With vacuum pump and vacuum grippers.
Four different vacuum gripper plate sizes.

Large Rittal control cabinet.
With Siemens S7-300 PLC and Siemens touch panel.
Systec Xemo R262C axis controller for programming with MotionBasic.
With light barrier.
