It is a continuously operating mechanical dryer.
It combines three drying stages with a conveying stage.
The regrind is fed in moist via the hopper of the screw feeder. The regrind is continuously transported into the dryer via the screw feeder.
The regrind is picked up by the rotor equipped with blades and transported in a spiral through a perforated plate screen basket. In the lower part of the basket, the adhering water is separated by impact, an air flow supports the drying in the upper part and in the lid.
This air flow supports the discharge of the regrind from the granulate dryer.
Air is drawn in from the environment through the rotor via an opening with a protective grille (in the lid of the dryer).
There is an opening in the side of the housing where the separated water flows out. There is an optional additional opening (closed with a blind flange) in the base of the housing.
