Input and Output Specifications:
* Input Material: PET Flakes
* End Product: PET Granulate
Our turnkey solution includes a granulator, an extruder unit, a cooling tank, and a crystallizer.
Main Components of the Regranulation Line:
* Storage Bin: Where PET flakes are stored prior to the start of the process.
* Feeder: Automatically dispenses the amount of PET flakes into the machine, typically using a weighing system.
* Metal Detector: Checks for the presence of metallic contaminants in the flakes.
* Granulator and Extruder: The heart of the facility. The granulator melts the PET flakes and extrudes them through a die to produce granulate.
* Cooling Tank: Here, the molten PET is cooled, usually by water, before forming into granulate.
* Crystallizer: Used for further processing and stabilizing the granulate structure.
* Cutting System: Here the granulate is cut into uniform pieces.
* Water Separator: Removes any remaining water from the granulate.
* Sorting and Selection: Optional steps where the granulate is sorted by size and quality.
* Collection and Storage: The finished granulate is collected in suitable containers or bags for further use.
* Control Panel: Central point for the management and monitoring of the entire process.

* Sterilizer for removing microbiological contaminants

Customizable Configuration:
The plant can be freely configured according to customer preferences and requirements. Individual elements of the facility can be ordered either as a set or as separate components.
Additional Products:
In addition, we offer complete facilities for cleaning, shredding, and sterilizing PET bottles as well as color sorters for PET flakes. Each of our PET facilities can optionally be equipped with a sterilizer for PET and a color sorter. We also offer laboratory facilities for testing the properties of the finished PET granulate and the input material, the PET flakes.
CRYSTALLIZER FOR PET:
The crystallizer in the PET regranulation line plays a crucial role in maintaining granulate quality. PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) in its original form is an amorphous polymer, meaning it has a disordered molecular structure. After melting and forming into granulate, PET remains in an amorphous state, making it susceptible to deformations and other issues when reheated.
The crystallization process involves the controlled heating of the PET granulate to a temperature where the polymer molecules begin to arrange themselves in more regular crystalline structures. This change in molecular structure significantly impacts the mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of the material, such as strength, heat resistance, and solvent resistance.
Crystallization is carried out in specially designed crystallizers where the granulate is evenly mixed and heated to the appropriate temperature. The process can take from several minutes to several hours, depending on specific process requirements.
Crystallization is especially important if you plan to reprocess the granulate into products that will come into contact with high temperatures. Crystallization makes the PET granulate more stable and better suited for further processing steps. This improves product quality and expands the possible applications for the recycled material.
