The Reitruder technology operates with co-rotating screws. We have adapted this twin-screw technology for use in direct extrusion plants, primarily for inline compounding. This combines several process steps into a single one.

In combination with efficient vacuum units, the Reitruder technology allows you to process recycled PET bottle flakes directly – without energy- and time-consuming pre-drying.

Our twin-screw technology, the Reitruder, processes high proportions of additives and fillers. Instead of pre-mixed compounds, fillers such as calcium carbonate or talc are continuously added.
At the same time, direct extrusion reduces energy costs compared to the two-stage compounding process: Without intermediate solidification and remelting of the plastic, the Reitruder operates in a single production run from raw material to finished product.

Reitruder RZE 85
EXTRUSION Alongside other new developments, the co-rotating
twin-screw extruder Reitruder RZE 85 was the focus of Reifenhäuser's trade fair presentation at NPE. A sophisticated concept with new
design elements was developed. The screw geometry was adapted to changing
requirements with a greater channel depth and a redesigned feed area. These measures alone improve the feed when using PET flakes or regrind and increase the volume for dosing fillers. This results in significant advantages when processing lower-quality raw materials. This, along with increased
degassing efficiency, even allows the use of materials with a
moisture content of up to 0.5 percent. This minimizes the need for pre-drying.
