plast alger 2010: International Trade Fair for the Plastics and Chemical Industry in Algeria

plast alger 2010 is North Africa’s major international platform for the plastics and chemical industry. The event is organised by the trade fair specialist fairtrade from Heidelberg, Germany. In 2009, fairtrade successfully organized plast expo 09 in Casablanca, Morocco. The 3rd International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition for North Africa attracted 2,058 trade visitors from 27 countries and had 102 exhibitors displaying their products and services on 2,133m².

North Africa’s showcase of technological innovations focuses on generating valuable business contacts: Industrial decision makers, technical experts and technology leaders meet to network and do business. High-profile European and Asian equipment suppliers and associations have confirmed stands, among them Plastipolis (France), PAGEV (Turkey) and the Valencia Association of Plastics Producers (Spain).

With a growth rate of 4.5 % in 2008, the plastics industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of the Algerian industry. Around 40% of the approximately 1,000 enterprises are active in injection, 20% in extrusion, the rest in the fast-growing packaging and plasticulture sectors. The workforce stands at around 20,000.

plast alger 2010 is held in parallel to printpack alger 2010, Algeria’s 2nd International Printing and Packaging Technology Trade Fair, which is also organized by fairtrade – an excellent synergy for all visitors and exhibitors alike.
