A. Schulman Inc. recently announced that it is expanding its distribution agreement with API S.p.A and will now also be serving the UK and Ireland. API S.p.A. is one of the leading compounders of Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) and Biopolymers in Europe. API’s 60 years’ history is since twenty years closely linked to A. Schulman, which is distributing API’s complete product range to clients who demand tailor-made solutions and exceptional performance in a number of European and Asian countries. "We are proud that API has awarded us with the distribution of their TPE, TPU and Biopolymers in the UK and Ireland”, says Horst Klink, Vice President Engineering Plastics EMEA at A. Schulman. "Over the years, we have developed a strong strategic relationship with API for which we do not only distribute their entire product range, but we also collaborate very closely on a number of demanding research & development projects. The move to Ireland and the UK enables us to fill a gap in our comprehensive product range in these two important countries.” "A. Schulman started distributing our TPE, TPU and Biopolymers in the UK and Ireland on October 1st 2016”, says Lorenzo Brunetti, Vice President sales & marketing API. "With A. Schulman already serving a large number of countries with our products, it was a natural move to expand our cooperation in this territory. Together we will ensure that the transition to A. Schulman as our distributor will go smoothly. Customers will be informed individually about any possible administrative adaptations in due time,” he concludes.
