Laser plastic welding in an automated industrial process
|
An Italian company is looking for a technology to weld plastic materials in an industrial process by means of solid state lasers. The main target will be the welding of plastic dispensers and/or bottles in a fully integrated industrial processing system. Other possible applications of such a process could be investigated. The technology requested focuses on the correct integration between laser characteristics and the thermal and mechanical properties of the plastics for a correct welding.
