With effect from November 15, 2004, Ticona (www.ticona.de) is increasing the prices of Hostaform® (POM), polyesters, Celstran® (LFT), Fortron® (PPS) and Vectra® (LCP). The leading global supplier of engineering thermoplastics is reacting to the continuing steep increase in world market prices for raw materials and energy in the last few months. Over the past few years, the price of some intermediates and raw materials has more than doubled, and just in recent months there has been a considerable increase. “The world market therefore gives us no other choice but to react to the continually rising costs,” explained Michael Oberste-Wilms, Ticona’s European Sales manager. Prices are being increased as follows: * Hostaform® (POM) 150 €/t * Celanex® (PBT) 150 €/t * Impet® (PET) 150 €/t * Vandar® (thermoplastic polyester blends) 150 €/t * Riteflex® (TPE-E) 150 €/t * Celstran® (LFT) 150 €/t * Compel® (LFT) 150 €/t * Vectra® (LCP) 400 €/t * Fortron® (PPS GF/mineral) 500 €/t * Fortron® (PPS GF) 800 €/t * Fortron® (PPS unfilled) 1200 €/t |
