Semperit: Production in Thailand affected by flooding
|
The ongoing heavy monsoon rains lasting for weeks in the south of Thailand have resulted in large-scale flooding and have now affected the production facilities of the Semperit Group. Due to these adverse conditions, the production of examination gloves and hydraulic hoses at the Hatyai plant has been temporarily suspended. Advert Moreover, the local infrastructure has been strongly affected, and the supply of electricity was largely interrupted. Although the company has already begun to implement initial cleanup measures, the precise impact of these events cannot yet be accurately determined. In any case, damages arising from flooding are covered by an insurance program.
