DSM - DYO Manufacturing Collaboration for Unsaturated Polyesters in Turkey takes off

DSM announced recently to have acquired via its subsidiary - Euroresins Turkey, the Unsaturated Polyester (UP) resins business of Dyo Boya Fabrikalari Sanayi ve Tic. A.S. (DYO).

As of October 5th 2010, (DYO) has officially transferred its UP resin business to Euroresins Kompozit Ürünler Tic. Ltd. Sti, (Euroresins Turkey). In addition both parties have signed a long term tolling agreement to support local manufacturing of the DSM specialty UP resins portfolio for the Turkish markets.

As to the scope of this collaboration, DYO will continue to manufacture all Dewilux and Dewester branded polyester resins to be sold by Euroresins Turkey in the local market and surrounding regions. Furthermore, DYO will, as of next year, toll manufacture a number of DSM’s unsaturated polyester resins for Euroresins Turkey to supply the rapidly growing Turkish polyester market with the specialty product portfolio of DSM. Euroresins offers premium products from leading principals such as DSM, BÜFA Gelcoat Plus, BÜFAtec machinery, PPG Fiber Glass, SAERTEX non-crimp fabrics, Peroxides from Akzo Nobel and United Initiators, Alcan core materials, and 3B CFM (Continous Filament Mat). “This collaboration is of high strategic importance to continue our growth in Turkey and the surrounding emerging economies,” says Sertaç Sürür, managing director of Euroresins Turkey. “The collaboration agreements with DYO enable us to build on our position as premium distributor by offering reliable, local supplies and target for growth in both our standard and premium product portfolio.”
