A Dutch research institute found that Diels Alder reversible covalent bonds open and close at certain temperatures. This makes a range of applications possible: easy repair and better rheological behaviour for coatings and composites, longer shelf life in powder coatings, additives for better flow and (metallic) pigment orientation, reversible adhesives and fillers. A licensing agreement or technological cooperation is sought.
