Biofilm process to treat industrial effluents containing up tp 150 g/L salt
|
A small German company specialised in environmental biotechnology is devising a solution to treat highly saline waste water, e.g. from chemical or food processing industry. The treatment is based on biofilm technology and an adsorbing carrier material. Tests in a pilot plant show better results than conventional methods. Partners from industry and waste water treatment are sought to scale up the technology and bring it to the market.
