DuPont raises prices for engineering polymers
|
DuPont Engineering Polymers announced additional price increases effective April 1st, 2005 in Europe, Middle East & Africa for the following products: - DuPont™ Thermx® high performance polyester products will increase by € 0,25 per kg. - DuPont™ Crastin® PBT and DuPont™ Hytrel® thermoplastic polyester elastomer products will increase by € 0,20 per kg. Advert - DuPont™ Rynite® PET will increase by € 0,15 per kg.
For certain specialty grades, colours and small quantity deliveries the price increases will be higher than mentioned above. These increases are in response to significant and sustained increases in energy and raw material costs over a long period of time and will help to ensure continuous supply of high-quality products. DuPont strives continuously to offset escalating costs with productivity programs and other containment measures. However, the magnitude of the cost increases coupled with strong market demand makes these price increases essential. |
