LANXESS: „2011 Global Supplier Award” from Mann+Hummel

Thanks in part to our production facilities throughout the world, we were able to ensure the reliable supply of material to our partners at all times, even under complex logistical conditions and tight deadlines,” said Egbert von Platen, Head of Marketing and Distribution, including for the Europe region, at Semi-Crystalline Products. Advert LANXESS supplies Mann+Hummel with tailored Durethan polyamides, which are used in the fabrication of a wide range of plastic oil modules, fuel filter housings and oil filter wrenches, for example. 
Durethan and the polybutylene terephthalate Pocan are manufactured in every major economic region around the world. The LANXESS production network includes plants in Wuxi, China; Krefeld-Uerdingen and Hamm-Uentrop in Germany; and shortly also in Jhagadia, India. The specialty chemicals group is currently building a compounding facility with an annual capacity of 20,000 metric tons in Gastonia, North Carolina, U.S.A. This is scheduled to go on stream at the end of 2012. The SCP business unit is part of the LANXESS Performance Polymers segment, which posted sales in fiscal 2010 of 3.782 billion euros.
