Modified paek polymer: preparation and uses
|
A Biomedical Research Center, a University and a Technological Center from Spain have developed a new modified polyaryletherketone polymer (PAEK), e.g. PEEK (polyetheretherketone), with chemically modified surfaces suitable for "click" reactions, and a process to obtain it. These materials are particularly useful for manufacturing medical devices or tissue engineering or cell culture matrices.
