With the start of 2007, Arburg (www.arburg.com) has changed its current representative office in Indonesia into an independent subsidiary. This step represents a strategic response to ongoing market growth in the region. With the new organisational form, Arburg is the first major European injection moulding machine manufacturer to have its own subsidiary in Indonesia. The new subsidiary manager is Christianto Adisuhanto, who has been with Arburg since 2002 and who previously managed the representative office. The fact that Arburg is the European market leader in the island state with a population of around 280 million, finds due recognition with the new subsidiary. Arburg´s market position in Indonesia is based on a broad customer structure. It is a market which Arburg has served through its representative office since 1993. Some 500 Allrounder machines have so far been sold in Indonesia. |
