Evonik Röhm: Price Increase for Methacrylate Resins
|
The Binders & Additives (BD) Business Line, part of Evonik Röhm GmbH (www.binders-and-additives.com), a subsidiary of Evonik Industries AG (www.evonik.de), Essen, will implement price increases for its methyl methacrylate-based resins by up to 10% in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas, effective January 1, 2008. Evonik Röhm will fulfill existing contractual agreements. The product lines affected are DEGALAN®, DEGACRYL®, ROHAGIT®, DEGAROUTE®, DEGAPLAST®, DEGAMENT® and DEGADUR®. These products are currently used in a wide range of applications including marine & container coatings, printing inks, plastic coatings, architectural coatings, dental, plastisols, heat sealing, road marking, solid surface, polymer concrete and orthopedics and flooring. Advert Over the last months BD has optimized its supply chain and made every possible effort to reduce costs, however ongoing increases in raw material, transportation and energy prices can no longer be offset by BD.
