Trinseo: Significant price increases for polystyrene and copolymers

Trinseo, a specialty material solutions provider, and its affiliate companies in Europe recently announced a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), ABS and SAN grades. Effective February 1, 2024, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • "Styron" and "Styron X-Tech" general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by +220 Euro per metric ton
  • "Styron" and "Styron A-Tech", "Styron C-Tech" and "Styron X-Tech" high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by +220 Euro per metric ton
  • "Magnum" ABS resins by +150 Euro per metric ton
  • "Tyril" SAN resins by +150 Euro per metric ton
