BASF raises prices for polyalcohols

BASF (www.basf.com) is to increase its prices in Europe for neopentylglycol, trimethylolpropane and hydroxypivalic acid neopentylglycolester with immediate effect or as allowed by contract:

• Neopentylglycol (NPG) + euros 0.15/kg
• Trimethylolpropane (TMP) + euros 0.19/kg

Advert

• Hydroxypivalic acid neopentylglycolester (HPN) + euros 0.15/kg

The price adjustment are being made to reflect increased operating, logistics as well as raw material costs and to assure the highest levels of product and service quality to BASF’s customers.

Polyalcohols are widely used in solvent-free coatings as well as in the production of polyurethanes, alkyd resins and synthetic lubricants.
