Wittmann Group: Indian headquarters moves to new location

In order to support the growth of the Wittmann Group in India and to better cover the current space requirements, the headquarters of Wittmann Battenfeld India will move to a new company building on 1 July 2024. The new building comprises a total of 5,000 square metres of office and production space, double the area of the previous headquarters. The Indian branch of the Wittmann Group will be located in the Tiruvallur district of Chennai, approximately nine kilometres from the current site in Chinna Porur.

In addition to the headquarters in the economically strong southern part of India, the Wittmann Group has two sales and service locations in New Delhi and Pune, as well as a further ten offices in various industrially strong areas in India.

According to Wittmann, the requirements of the Indian plastics industry sometimes differ significantly from the requirements of European or American markets due to local conditions. Over the years, Wittmann Battenfeld India has therefore also driven forward its own product developments, which complement the Wittmann Group's global product portfolio. In addition to Wittmann's standard products, the Indian market also offers temperature control units, material dryers, IML and automation systems produced in-house.

Nanda Kumar, Managing Director of the Indian subsidiary since its foundation in 2007, is delighted with the expansion: "In recent years, the Indian economy, and the plastics industry in particular, has shown remarkable growth rates. With the additional office and production space, we can better meet current requirements and further expand our customer base in India and our export markets."

In addition to serving the local market, the Indian branch of the Wittmann Group also supports the market requirements of the Arabian Peninsula and Central Africa.
