Alpla: Acquisition of Serbian Closure Manufacturer Energoplast

The Alpla Group has acquired the production facility of the Serbian closure manufacturer Energoplast in Belgrade. With this acquisition, the internationally active packaging specialist is expanding its activities in compression and injection moulding, strengthening its role as a system provider for plastic packaging in Southeastern Europe.

As part of the transaction, Alpla is taking over Energoplast’s staff, production lines, and existing business. This ensures a seamless continuation of ongoing production and meets the growing demand for closure solutions in the region. Energoplast produces PE closures for the beverage industry in Serbia and neighbouring countries at its approximately 2,000-square-meter plant in northern Belgrade.

Alpla now operates four plants in Serbia – including two in-house production facilities located directly at filling plants – as well as two sites in Croatia and one in Slovenia. The company thus ranks among the leading plastic packaging manufacturers in Southeastern Europe. Its product portfolio includes bottles, closures, and containers, as well as PET preforms for the beverage, food, and cosmetics industries.

According to the company, the acquisition strengthens regional value creation and enables shorter delivery routes. At the same time, Alpla aims to further expand its position as a reliable partner to the beverage industry through its extended production network.

The transaction was completed on November 1, 2025, following legal and regulatory approval. The purchase price and further details were not disclosed.
