GreenDot: Establishment of an Italian Subsidiary

Green Dot Global Sàrl has founded the subsidiary GreenDot Italy S.p.A. in Italy, through which the company’s national activities will be managed in the future. Luca Galimberti has been appointed as the managing director of the new entity. With this step, GreenDot continues its growth strategy in the Italian market, following the company’s acquisition in 2023 of the sorting and recycling facilities formerly operated by Synextra.

GreenDot CEO Laurent Auguste described Galimberti as an experienced manager in the Italian circular economy, who brings the professional expertise needed to further develop the company’s activities in the country and who will work closely with the European team.

The company emphasizes its fundamental commitment to expanding the European plastics circular economy and acknowledges the role of Italian market players in this sector.

The new CEO, Luca Galimberti, sees his role as driving the expansion of the business in Italy and further developing solutions that support a stable and high-quality supply within the circular economy. This is an essential factor in reducing Europe’s dependence on raw material imports.
