Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.) has signed a purchase agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares in IFG Asota GmbH. The Austria-based company is an established provider of synthetic staple fibers and operates globally in various technical applications. With this acquisition, B.I.G. aims to strengthen its Fibres Division (Beaulieu Fibres International, BFI) and expand its industrial and technological base in the fiber sector. IFG Asota possesses extensive expertise in processing polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA), polyethylene (PE), as well as bio-based polymers such as PLA. Its fibers are used in flooring, the automotive industry, filtration solutions, and other technical applications. A central element of the company is its own research and development center with a pilot plant, which enables the rapid development and testing of new fiber products. Additionally, Asota brings experience in bio-based and recycled polymers. The acquisition complements the existing portfolio of Beaulieu Fibres International both technologically and geographically. By combining B.I.G.'s industrial capacities with Asota's material and R&D expertise, the market position in Europe and on a global level is to be further expanded. Parallel to the acquisition process, IFG Exelto will enter into a toll manufacturing agreement with Beaulieu Fibres International following the closing. Exelto is to produce fibers on behalf of BFI to ensure production capacity and delivery reliability. The closing of the acquisition is subject to customary regulatory and contractual conditions and is expected by mid-February 2026. No information regarding the purchase price was disclosed.
