Alpla has opened its first standalone site in the Philippines in Calamba City, further expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Production at the plant in Filinvest Technology Park Ciudad de Calamba has already been running since summer 2025. The official opening took place on March 19, 2026, attended by around 80 guests.

With this new site, the company is complementing its existing presence in the country. Alpla had been operating there as an in-house partner since 2014, producing preforms and bottles directly at the filling plants of an international customer. The new base site is now intended to enable a broader offering for customers in the beverage industry as well as other sectors.

The plant has 4,800 square meters of space for production, administration, and logistics. The manufacturing technologies used include injection stretch blow molding (ISBM), extrusion blow molding (EBM), and compression molding (CM). The site produces plastic canisters, bottles, and closures for a range of applications and industries. According to the company, its customers include multinational consumer goods manufacturers, international beverage companies, and local producers.

The site is designed for further growth. Four lines were installed at the start of production, and additional capacity can be added through up to five more lines. According to the company, Alpla currently employs around 40 people in Calamba City. Construction of the plant began in early 2025, when adaptation work on the shell building started. The first machines were already put into operation in summer 2025.

According to the company, Calamba City was the 200th plant in Alpla’s global network when production began in summer 2025. The company now operates 206 sites in 45 countries and employs around 25,500 people. Its portfolio includes packaging systems, bottles, closures, and injection-molded parts for industries such as food and beverages, cosmetics, household products, pharmaceuticals, and lubricants. In addition, Alpla operates PET and HDPE recycling plants in several countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas; according to the company, further projects are currently under development.
