The Spanish plastics technology center Aimplas increased its revenue to EUR 26.7 million in 2025, achieving growth of more than ten percent. At the same time, the institute carried out more than 300 projects in research, development and innovation. According to Aimplas, this generated an economic return of EUR 87.5 million for companies. The center also reported that more than 3,500 companies used its services during the reporting year. The number of member companies stood at 900. These companies achieved total savings of EUR 770,000 through membership benefits. Research, development and innovation accounted for 70 percent of total revenue. Altogether, 653 companies participated in the projects, 34 percent of them with an international dimension. Key focus areas included recycling, the circular economy, sustainable chemistry, packaging, materials for mobility and energy, as well as applications for agriculture and food safety. In addition, Aimplas provided 9,165 analysis and testing services for 1,027 customers. This segment represented 25 percent of revenue. In the training area, more than 3,200 professionals from 1,000 companies took part in 225 technical courses totaling 4,900 hours. Aimplas employed more than 270 people in 2025. The center also renewed its “Great Place to Work” certification and its registration in the Valencian register of socially responsible organizations. In the environmental field, Aimplas registered its carbon footprint for the sixth consecutive time and, after a 40 percent reduction, put its emissions at 33.56 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
