Arburg: Artur Metzler to take over management in Poland

On 1 June 2026, Artur Metzler will take over as Managing Director of Arburg Polska Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw. He will assume leadership of Arburg’s Polish subsidiary, which has operated as an independent branch in the market since 1992. Metzler has been with Arburg since 2005 and has many years of experience in sales and service, as well as extensive knowledge of the Central and Eastern European market.

Metzler began his career at Arburg in Lossburg with an apprenticeship as an industrial business management assistant. He subsequently held various positions in service and sales. During a two-year assignment for Arburg in Eastern Europe, he also gained additional international market experience. Alongside his professional work, he completed a degree in business administration. Since June 2022, he has headed the Central and Eastern Europe group within Sales. In this role, he further expanded his knowledge of market structures, customer requirements and industry-specific applications.

In his new position, Metzler will be supported by a team of 27 employees. The workforce at the Polish subsidiary consists largely of long-serving and experienced staff. According to the company, the new Managing Director has already known the team for many years.

Arburg has been represented in Poland with its own organisation for more than three decades. There, the company offers injection moulding machines, automation solutions, turnkey systems and digital networking solutions for various industries and applications. Its customer base ranges from smaller contract injection moulders to internationally active companies.

Arburg currently sees demand in Poland particularly for electric Allrounder Trend machines. This series is designed as an entry-level solution for the production of standard injection moulded parts. In workshops, Polish customers were introduced to the setup, operation and maintenance of the machines. Automation and turnkey projects also play an important role. Complex production cells are developed in cooperation with the company headquarters in Lossburg.

According to the company, the Polish market is also affected by global crises and a difficult economic environment, but has proven comparatively resilient. As a location, Poland benefits from its central position, well-developed infrastructure and high technical level. Metzler sees potential above all in standard machines, in the medical and packaging industries, and in high-end applications, automation and digitalisation.
