Jean-Marc Galvez has been elected as the new President of the European Plastics Converters (EuPC) for the 2026–2028 term. The election took place on June 3, 2026, during the EuPC General Assembly in Brussels. Galvez succeeds Benoit Hennaut, who led the association for four years. Galvez is Chief Operating Officer at Amcor, where he is responsible for the company’s global rigid packaging business. He has more than 35 years of international leadership experience in general management, sales, manufacturing, and research and development. Before joining Amcor, Galvez held several senior positions at Berry Global, most recently serving for nearly six years as President of the Consumer Packaging International Division. Prior to that, he led the Consumer Packaging Division North America as well as HH&S EMEIA. Other stages of his career include Avintiv, a Blackstone company, where he served as President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. Earlier management roles were held at Dow, Merquinsa, Monsanto, and Elf Atochem. According to EuPC, Galvez brings a global perspective to the transformation of plastics processing, having gained international experience in seven countries. His presidency will focus on innovation, competitiveness, the circular economy, and the resilience of the European plastics value chain. More information: www.plasticsconverters.eu |
