KB Components: Acquisition of Polish Injection Moulder Rabugino Completed

Swedish plastics processor KB Components continues its expansion in Europe. According to a company press release, KB completed the acquisition of Polish injection moulding company Rabugino in May. However, no financial details or further information regarding the transaction, which had been agreed in March, were disclosed.

Rabugino operates 31 modern injection moulding machines, primarily manufacturing plastic components for the automotive industry as well as other industrial sectors. Its customer base includes BMW, Volvo, Volkswagen and Audi. The company is headquartered in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, near Warsaw, employs around 150 people and generates annual sales of approximately PLN 80 million (EUR 19 million), according to KB. Within the group, the company will operate under the name KB Components Poland.

With the acquisition of Rabugino, KB Components is further strengthening its European presence and reinforcing relationships with key customers in the automotive, filtration and consumer goods industries, the company said. The integration of the Polish business is also expected to improve capacity utilisation across the group's other production sites and enhance efficiency through anticipated synergies.

Headquartered in Örkelljunga, near Helsingborg, Sweden, KB Components already operates production facilities in Finland (Nurmijärvi), Estonia (Tallinn, Haapsalu), Lithuania (Kaunas), Slovakia (Žilina), India (New Delhi), China (Wuxi), Mexico (Puebla, Irapuato), Canada (Windsor) and the United States (Dallas). At the end of last year, the group also expanded through the acquisition of Germany's Ernst Plastics Group (see plasticker news of 7 November 2025).

KB Components' product portfolio primarily comprises plastic components for the automotive industry, as well as applications in furniture manufacturing, lighting, medical technology and chrome-plated products. In the 2025 financial year, the group generated total sales of SEK 2.791 billion (EUR 253 million).
