Dominion: Acquisition of plastics recycler Reyuplas

Spanish industrial and environmental services provider Dominion has acquired an 80% stake in plastics recycling company Reyuplas. The transaction expands Dominion's capabilities in the processing and recycling of industrial plastic waste.

Founded in 1999, Reyuplas is based in the Spanish province of Cuenca. The company sorts and processes plastic waste into recycled materials that can be reused as raw materials in industrial applications. Its core focus is on high- and low-density polyethylene, particularly HDPE and LDPE.

The acquisition forms part of the growth strategy of Dominion's environmental division, Global Dominion Environment (GDE). By integrating Reyuplas, Dominion adds plastics recycling capacity to its existing services in the collection, transfer, treatment and recovery of industrial waste.

According to the company, plastic waste is already collected through GDE's existing transfer and handling facilities. With the integration of Reyuplas, a larger share of these material streams will be sorted, processed and mechanically recycled within Dominion's own operations. At the same time, the company is expanding its offering for industrial customers by producing recycled plastic raw materials.

The investment in Reyuplas is the fourth transaction through which Dominion has expanded its environmental business since 2025. Previous acquisitions include German waste management and recycling company ZCR GmbH, a water treatment plant in Cartagena, Spain, and the Ecogestión de Residuos waste transfer facility.

Founded in Bilbao in 1999, Dominion operates in the energy, industrial, digitalization and environmental services sectors. According to the company, it employs more than 12,500 people in over 35 countries and serves more than 1,000 customers. Annual revenue exceeds €1.1 billion. Dominion has been listed on the Spanish stock exchange since April 2016.
