Evosys: New Machine Generation and Laser Plastic Welding Processes

Evosys Laser GmbH will showcase new solutions for laser plastic welding at Fakuma 2026, including a new generation of machinery, live welding demonstrations, and technologies for process monitoring and quality control.

At the Evo 0800-TD laser system, the company will demonstrate both conventional transmission laser welding and its two-stage Evo2Step process. According to Evosys, Evo2Step offers a wider process window and greater tolerance to variations in components and materials.

The company will also present an absorption testing device designed to measure the absorption behavior of plastic components along the intended weld contour. The system can be used to compare different materials and production batches, helping manufacturers identify variations in material properties at an early stage.

The resulting data can be used to optimize welding parameters and improve process stability and reproducibility. Evosys will use its Fakuma exhibit to demonstrate how machine technology, welding processes, and quality assurance can be combined to support robust and cost-efficient production.
