**Starlinger: Crafters Produces 11.3 Million “AD*Star” Cement Bags in One Month**

Pakistani packaging manufacturer Crafters Polypropylene Packages (Pvt) Ltd produced 11.3 million “AD*Star” block-bottom valve bags for the cement industry in August 2026 using two Starlinger “adstarKON HX” conversion lines. According to Starlinger, output had already reached 11 million bags in July.

Each line operates at a nominal speed of 140 bags per minute. Since starting production in 2023, Crafters says it has manufactured close to 365 million woven polypropylene block-bottom valve bags. The average reject rate during the two record months was 2.5%.

The plant is equipped with tape extrusion, circular weaving, coating, printing and bag conversion machinery. In 2025, Crafters expanded its operations with additional extrusion and weaving capacity and also entered FIBC production.

The 50 kg bags produced for the cement industry weigh 65 g each. Lucky Cement reports an average bag breakage rate of 0.07% during filling and loading.

Crafters is now targeting monthly output of 12 million bags on its two conversion lines.

Founded in 2021, Crafters Polypropylene Packages (Pvt) Ltd employs 325 people, according to the company. It manufactures woven polypropylene bags for cement, sugar, fertilizers, rice, flour and other dry bulk materials. Its production facility is located in the Special Economic Zone at Bin Qasim Industrial Park in Karachi, Pakistan.
